The timetable for the celebratory weekend at Frampton, Fretherne, Harescombe and Whaddon is as follows:

Friday 26th June

10am-5pm    Churches open. We hope you enjoy learning more about our churches through our church guides and timelines. Each church is also displaying artwork.

Procession
The procession wound its way through the villages

7pm     Medieval Feast in Fretherne church. (Sold out!) The five-course meal will be followed by a mime play performed by Fram Dram, and singing by Delfryn. Please contact Bridget Meredith on bridget.meredith@btinternet.com or 07927 414292 if you require a costume (small donation towards Fretherne church’s costs). (Parking in Fretherne Nurseries GL2 7JF.)

The Three Horseshoes at Frampton will be hosting folk musicians and Morris dancers during the evening as part of the village’s medieval celebrations. Please check the pub’s website for further details, timings etc.

Saturday 27th June

10am-5pm    Churches open. Harescombe has narrow lanes, so parking as directed by local signage. We hope you enjoy learning more about our churches through our church guides and timelines. Each church is also displaying artwork.

11am-1pm     Whaddon 700 will include a procession from Tuffley School to Whaddon church with beasts, musicians, dancers and singers. Plenty of medieval fun to enjoy! (Parking at Wynstones School GL4 0UF.)

3pm-8pm     Churchwardens’ Ale at Frampton church (medieval family fun, including games and activities for all ages, traditional refreshments). Please park in designated car park signposted from village green, GL2 7DY and use footpaths to the churchyard.

8pm    Service of Compline in Frampton church. Come and hear the plainsong that would have been sung by 14th century monks at the end of each day

Sunday 28th June

10am     Dedication Day Procession from Frampton village green to the church. Please note that a road closure will be in place so those attending by car need to be parked in the designated car park before 10am. This is signposted from the village green, GL2 7DY.

11.30am    Service at Frampton with the Bishop of Tewkesbury, the Rt Revd Martyn Snow followed by a ‘bring and share’ picnic

2.45pm     Service in Whaddon church with Bishop Martyn

5pm    Service at Harescombe church. Bishop Martyn will dedicate a new altar frontal
